Mars Bioimaging and MediLumine announce a partnership to develop applications for life science research and jointly announce the success of a pilot study using MediLumine’s contrast agents and the MARS color x-ray imaging system.

In this study, the MARS scanner simultaneously identified and quantified three MediLumine contrast agents, Fenestra VC, Mvivo Au, and Mvivo BIS in a phantom with vials of the contrast agents.  The different contrast agents can be visualized in 3D and assigned different colors based on the ability of MARS technology to detect the differences in attenuation slopes and k-edge jumps.

MediLumine and MARS will now work jointly to develop applications and related technical resources to facilitate applications for contrast enhanced color X-ray imaging.
