Still Images

3D MARS image of a wrist. The soft tissue (muscle and skin) is shown in red, fat in yellow, bone in white, and the metallic screw and k-wire in blue and green, respectively. The MARS hand and wrist scanner is able to show fusion of bone with the implants as the bone heals. The orientation of the metallic screw and k-wire within the bone are made visible with MARS software. The soft tissue is made translucent to show the bones and and metallic implants inside the wrist. Incredible resolution means blood vessels are visible without x-ray imaging contrast injected into the patient.
